In the first half of the 20th century Chinese contemporary literati painting, Liang Qi occupied an important position, known as today's "Big Eight". He is also one of the "Jinmen Eleven". Liang Qi was a painter with a lot of fate. He had a rough life, but he couldn't make a big splash when he was alive. He was a full-fledged painter. The painter, who had not spent a day studying at an art school or under a master, had stepped into the high realm of art entirely by virtue of his talents and diligence.

He is good at painting and calligraphy, freehand flowers and birds, landscapes, vegetables and fruits, characters, and animals. His finger-painting and book-finding are more unique, and they have their own styles. They have excellent research on poetry, painting history, and painting theory. Together with his predecessors at that time, he deeply studied the tradition, devoted himself to the inheritance and development of Chinese painting, and made important contributions to the promotion of excellent cultural traditions and the development of the fine arts of New China.
