Opening of the exhibition – Li Wang: Art Teller

Date: 7^th April to 15^th April 2018

Duton’s International Group is now presenting Li Wang: Art Teller at our Tianjin gallery, China Space, from now until 15^th April 2018. The exhibition shows a selection of Li Wang’s recent practices, including varied mediums from contemporary ink, sculpture to print and installation.

Specializing in engraving, Li Wang also explores a wide range of medium for creativity, attempting to seek new possibilities of creating art. In many of his new works, the artist develops the themes of his observations on everyday life, showing the characteristic scenes of Tianjin.

On 7^th April, Duton’s International Group organized a series of events and invited all the participants to enjoy music, performance and discussions. At the exhibition opening ceremony successfully attended by hundreds of audiences, including art curators, critics, as well as collectors.

Free drinks and snacks are served at our opening event.

The exhibition also displays some of Li Wang’s early works and his painterly tools from the atelier, which invites the audiences to experience the artistic process of Li Wang’s creations.

“Art and creativity are not about to get something but inspiration,” said Li Wang. “Anything in life may become my inspiration, so I always try to keep aware of those known and unknown in life with enthusiasm…. Don’t let your inspiration run away!”

From Li Wang’s depictions, we can see that the artist often presents his ideas in a scene of between realistic and unrealistic. Through his artistic practices, the viewers are invited to explore the unique Tianjin-sense of humor and absurdity, experiencing the conventional and the cultural of this beautiful city.
